Join our winter wine escape and experience Nova Scotia’s most celebrated wineries while the vines are enjoying their long winter rest. You’ve seen these beautiful destinations in the warmer months, now you’ll gain an appreciation of this breathtaking scenery when the vines are bare and often covered by snow and icicles (pending weather of course).
First stop will be to Grand Pre Wines*, the oldest farm winery in Atlantic Canada build on love and passion for Nova Scotia. Enjoy a guided tasting and savour the distinct flavours and aromas of the NS terroir, perfectly complemented by the clean and refreshing wine making style of our renowned winemaker, Jurg Stutz. Option to add on wine by the glass, hot beverage, specialty coffee or indulge in raclette- a traditional Swiss cheese dish.
Second, discover the story of Lightfoot & Wolfville for a guided tasting of their handcrafted and small-lots wines from their organic and biodynamically farmed vineyard. After our tasting, enjoy lunch featuring ingredients sourced directly from the Lightfoot family farm and gardens. Wine by the glass available for purchase with lunch.
Finally, we’ll end at Benjamin Bridge for a guided tasting of their most well-loved wines. Enjoy their heated outdoor terrace, vineyard trails, holiday lights (Dec/Jan only) and glowing décor. After your tasting, option to enjoy wine by the glass or one of their warm cocktails.
*Select Saturdays and Sundays in March, this tour will visit either Planters Ridge Winery OR Beausoleil Winery instead of Grand Pre Winery.
